Spain: Regulator charges ADASA, Schneider, and Cirrus with collusion

 |  July 23, 2018

Spanish regulator CNMC (National Commission for Markets and Competition) has accused ADASA SISTEMAS, S.A.U. (ADASA), Schneider Electric España (SCHNEIDER), and Cirrus Spain (CIRRUS) of possible anticompetitive conducts, consisting of agreements to coordinate the activities of these supposed competitors.

The companies are accused of having resorted to fraudulent use of temporary ventures to artificially reduce competition during official tenders for the installation, maintenance, and supply services for meteorological stations and radars.

Considering the information available and the documentation obtained during raids carried out by the authorities, the CNMC has determined that there are indications of a violation to Article 1 of Spain’s competition law.
