Spanish market regulator CNMC has published the results of its latest survey on the use of ‘Sharing Economy’ platforms across Spain.
The results from the Household Survey show that the platforms with the biggest presence are those dedicated to the purchase or rent of second-hand items, with nearly 27% of web users visiting these sites at least once a year. The CNMC’s data also reveal that the number of people offering products and services is considerably smaller than those seeking these services, with under 4% of internet users saying they have listed their home or offered transportation to strangers using these technologies.
The survey also reveals a high degree of satisfaction over ‘shared economy’ products and services. The satisfaction rates are particularly high among users of ride-sharing services between cities (with 67% responding ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’); second-hand item buyers (60.9%) and leasing out private homes (60.4%). The numbers drop considerably for same-city ride sharing and taxi-hailing services, with satisfaction at around 22.8%
