 |  January 30, 2018

Brazil’s antitrust regulator Cade has recommended approving the acquisition of highway operator Eco101 by infrastructure company Ecorodovias. The latter, which already owns 58% of the road Eco101, will buy the remaining minority shareholder participation.

Cade’s Superintendency has recommended approval of the agreement be granted without preconditions and a final decision is expected by the regulator’s board in the coming months. Eco101 operates a 476km section of the BR-101 highway, with 17.5km in the state of Bahia and 458km in Espírito Santo.
