Youngsoog Na is a Special Counsel and Chief Expert Adviser in the Antitrust and Competition Practice Group of Lee & Ko. She obtained her Master's degree in Competition Law at the Seoul National University in Korea and at Harvard University in the U.S. She also holds a Doctorate in Competition Law from Stanford University.
Dr. Na's strength in dealing with competition law issues in a global context has greatly contributed to the development of leading cases in various fields of Korea's competition law (such as vertical restraint and platform service providers' abusive conduct) when she served as a Judicial Researcher at the Supreme Court of Korea. Having acquired extensive legal knowledge and expertise not only in the competition laws of Korea but also in the competition laws of countries like the U.S. and EU, she has lectured on the competition laws of the U.S. and EU from a comparative perspective at the Korea University Graduate School of Law as well as Seoul National University.
As a leading expert on Law and Economics, Dr. Na received a research fellowship from John M. Olin Program in Law and Economics at Stanford and also worked as a Research Professor at the Economics Department of Korea University. Major cases she worked on at Lee & Ko include Qualcomm's abuse of dominance as a SEPs holder, reverse payment of GSK and Dong-A Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., price-fixing of LPG suppliers, bid-rigging of Samsung Thales, and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.'s refusal to cooperate with the KFTC's on-site investigation.
