Pierre Barthelme
After graduating in economics, Pierre Barthelmé began his career in the private sector at UBS Luxembourg.
In 1995, he took up the post of executive attaché at the National Tourism Office. In 1998, Mr Barthelmé joined the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Tourism as a government attaché, a department for which he was responsible from 2004 onwards, advising the Minister on strategic national and international issues in this area. In addition to the Department of Tourism, Mr Barthelmé was also responsible for the Department of Middle Classes from 2012. Appointed First Government Counsellor in 2013, he joined the Competition Council in 2014 and became its President on 1 November 2018.
