Mary Beth Savio specializes in the analysis of antitrust issues in high technology industries and network economies.
Dr. Savio has played a primary role in several large-scale cases involving monopolization in the software and payment systems industries, including US v. Microsoft. Dr. Savio has also provided expert testimony in a matter involving alleged market monopolization. Dr. Savio is also experienced in assessing monetary damages that arise from antitrust violations and in analyzing the economic issues pertaining to proposed mergers, tying, predation, collusion, and vertical restraints.
Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Savio taught at the University of Rochester, where she was a doctoral student. As part of a fellowship, Dr. Savio gained experience at Bank Austria in Vienna, Austria, where her work focused on risk management in international lending.
