Josefina Cortés Campos
Josefina studied Law in Mexico’s ITAM, where she graduated with honors. She has completed Specialist Diplomas on the Electricity Sector at the Masters in Electric Sector Economics program at Carlos III University in Madrid, as well as in Constitutional Law and Political Science by the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies in Madrid. She earned a PhD. in Law from Carlos III University in Madrid with a cum laude distinction, the highest honor available.
Her professional experience includes collaboration with Mexico’s Supreme Court of Justice, at the Federal Judiciary Council, the Senate of the Republic, and the Federal Competition Commission (COFECE). For the past 15 years she has been a Professor and Researcher at the Law Department in Mexico’s ITAM, heading the Law and Energy Program and founding the ITAM’s Energy and Natural Resources Center, where she also served as the Director for the Administrative Law and Regulation Masters program.
