He works in several areas of competition law, including the representation of Brazilian and foreign companies in highly complex merger filings, investigations of horizontal and vertical practices, and cases of abuse of dominance. His practice also involves negotiating settlement agreements and leniency agreements with Brazilian antitrust authority (Cade), assessing antitrust risks in business practices, and drafting antitrust compliance programs. He has experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, electric power, as well as in markets for goods and services in various sectors of the economy.
He also engages in a variety of regulatory matters related to the telecommunications sector, including representation of national and foreign clients interested in exploring services through concessions, permissions or authorizations in Brazil, assessment of regulatory risks in corporate transactions involving the telecommunications sector and preparation of requests for prior consent, in addition to providing assistance and representation before the Brazilian Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) and other agencies that regulate the sector, in connection with legal and regulatory regimes in force.
