Isabel Davies
Isabel is a Consultant in the Commercial & Technology group and specializes in all forms of Intellectual Property dispute resolution including mediation. For over 25 years her practice has focused on all aspects of IP including patents, trademarks, design, copyright, confidential information and trade libel. She has an extensive background in multi-jurisdiction litigation. Isabel deals in both contentious and transactional issues and advises on strategic issues in managing patent, trademark, and design portfolios and IP Audit. She has a particular reputation for IP dispute work and has a strong following in the technology, media and telecoms, consumer products and other brand focused industry sectors such as hotels and leisure.
Her pan European practice has involved cases before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal in the UK and before the ECJ and General Court. Isabel speaks extensively in the US and Europe on international IP litigation strategy. In addition to chairing the Law Society's Intellectual Property Working Party, Isabel is active in various international IP organizations and has a particular interest in IP in space. Under the PHARE EU projects she wrote the copyright law of Lithuania.
Isabel joined Boyes Turner in April 2011 from a leading City law firm where she was Senior Partner of the Intellectual Property team and chairman of the Technology, Media and Telecoms sector group.
