Gianluca Monte currently works as policy coordinator for the US and Canada in the Directorate-General for Trade. He was previously a case handler for the Directorate-General for Competition’s Unit “Antitrust – Media,” responsible for antitrust enforcement in the media sector. Before 2014, Mr. Monte worked as a policy officer within the European Commission’s Sport Unit. Before joining the European Commission in 2008, Gianluca worked as a consultant for KEA, a Brussels-based company specialized in creative industries, media and copyright law.
