Alberto Barbosa Jr
Alberto Barbosa Jr. is a Master’s Candidate at the School of Law of the University of São Paulo (2013-2016) and a Fox International Fellow (2014-2015) at the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale University. He received his Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the University of São Paulo in 2011.
His research interests comprise competition law/antitrust, law & economics and law & development. His master’s thesis explores the interplay between antitrust and employment policies, with focus on the cost-benefit analysis of merger review decisions by the Brazilian Competition Authority which would produce distributive effects for workers.
He was also a graduate research assistant (2013-2014) at the Center for Law, Economics and Governance of the School of Law of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) at São Paulo.
